Part of Barnet Libraries’ Year of Learning 2019 youth positive activities, in partnership with Barnet Youth Engagement, funded by Arts Council England.

In this 2-day course, the idea of the selfie will be taken to a fresh level.  Self-portraiture is a timeless technique, and in the 21st century has become a popular form of expression in photography, giving birth to the glorious 'selfie'.

This workshop will take the reflected image as its starting point, and as you see yourself in different ways through different mirrors you will create a series of self-portraits in gouache.  Along the way, you will see the value of how you paint and how you choose to express yourself through this medium.
